For three years I photographed the World Cup of mountain bike racing as it visited Windham Mountain Resort in Windham, NY. World Cup is the elite professional level of racing, and it was a privilege to be able to watch and photograph the pros from all over the world in action. It’s difficult to understand how dangerous and exhausting this sport can be until you are only a few feet from the racers as they hurtle by your lens in the downhill or collapse on the finish line for the cross-country races.
