On three different occasions I journeyed to Gloucester, MS, to shoot the USGP Series two day cyclocross event at Stage Fort Park. In good or bad weather, the racing was all out, the people were friendly, and there were always spectacular images to be found. As sponsors and priorities changed, the USGP series ended in 2012, and 2019 was the last time the event was held in the park. But if you are ever looking for thrilling racing and a great party under brilliant fall foliage, just find the nearest weekend ‘cross event.
