I’ve been an avid cyclist for over 25 years now and I love riding my bike. Combine that with a love of photography and when I want to have some real fun with photography, I know what I need to do. I can honestly say that no matter how bad the conditions or how little I may have enjoyed the moment, I’ve never been on a ride where I couldn’t say afterward I was glad I went.
Acadia National Park, on the northern coast of Maine, has become one of my favorite places. Combine the light, the textures, the colors, and all the great places to ride, and Mount Desert Island seems like paradise: a perfect place to get away and find the solitude and beauty that we all need from time to time.
More evidence that at Acadia the light, the color, and the textures combine to make an incredible visual experience. These photos were all shot in one week-long visit, and I don't think I've ever had this much fun just wandering around with a camera by bike and on foot..
